Former Champ Evan Tanner was found dead on Monday near Palo Verde, Calif. He was on a journey to the desert to clear his mind and seek solitude for a while. Apparently he left on Sept 2 and told his friends that if they didnt hear from him in a while to contact authorities. It was as if he already knew something was going to happen. i just found out about this last night and it tore me up. He was a great fighter and person. He was a little weird though in that he seemed like he was into mysticism and worshiping nature. Im not sure if that’s how he really was but he just seemed like that type of person. I know Evan has a lot of family and friends that love him and my heart and prayers go out to them. This is a tragic event for the world of MMA and for sports in general.
